2019 Riverside Open

Bunbury's Greg Golinski blitzed the 2019 Riverside Open with spectacular rounds of 70 and 68 to win by a country mile - or rather, a Tiger Woods-like 20 strokes - from brother Michael Golinski of Lake Karrinyup, whose 76 and 82 were still good enough to keep him ahead of the rest of the 79-man field. The result reversed last year's Riverside Open, when Michael shaded Greg by four shots. Left in the wake of the two brothers were Kevin Burton, Danny Cheng, Carl Carulli, Tim Buller and Dave Blurton, with gross scores of 161, 162, 163, 164 and 165 respectively. Greg Golinski also set the target in the nett competition with a total of 142, but as he was ineligible to win both competitions he had to make way for Collie's Fred Bronickis, who carded nett rounds of 73 and 70 to take out the prize with a nett 143, ahead of three other Collie members, Neil Motion, David Laird and Colin Giblett, with nett scores of 145, 146 and 146. Hole in One

Vicki Graham, the club's best lady golfer, achieved something she has been trying to do for many years when she scored her first ever hole in one during the women's competition on Wednesday 13 March. Vicki's tee shot rolled into the hole on the par three 12th hole, alllowing her to match husband Trevor in the hole in one stakes.
