Visitors

Visitors are always welcome at the Collie Golf Club, including group bookings, either for a casual round of golf, or to join us in our weekly competitions. However, please note that while members may invite guests to play in formal competitions, and visitors with an official handicap can take part in a competition - with the result officially recognised - only members or country members of the Collie Golf Club are eligible to win trophies or prizes.

Visitor green fees, whether for casual play or for competitions, are a very reasonable $25 for nine holes, or $35 for 18 holes. As the club house is not always staffed, payment is on an honour basis, with fees payable via a box on the front verandah of the club house. Bank Details are on the board for direct debit payments if you don't have cash. We appreciate the honesty of visitors almost as much as we appreciate the money.

Visitors are free to play casually at any time, although if they play during formal competition times they must give way to competition players if necessary.

Our main competitions are:

Saturday (men and women, competition tee times generally 8.00-9.30 in the morning, and 12.00 to 1.00 in the afternoon);

Tuesday (mainly men, although women can play if they wish, competition tee times generally noon to one, although early morning tee times are available);

Wednesday (women, always morning tee times, men can play if they dare - not that anyone has ever dared): and

Thursday (men and women, nine hole Scroungers, all day, but most players play in the afternoon).

The club has five motorised carts available for hire, at a cost to visitors of $40 for 18 holes and $25 for nine. Members pay a discounted rate of $30 and $15 respectively.

To arrange cart hire, contact the club on (08) 9734 1655 during office / competition hours - Tuesday (12.00-6.00), Thursday (12.00-7.00), and Saturday (11.00-7.00). If the phone is not attended please leave a message, and we will return your call as soon as possible. Alternatively, call Kim Metcalfe on 0427 478 228. NOTE: As we are a small country club, with the office not attended outside competition hours, it is important to give at least 24 hours notice if you wish to hire a cart. While we will do our best to arrange all bookings, we can not guarantee a booking if less than 24 hours notice is provided.
